✧ the elle woods study method: mindset makeover & foundation building ✧

hey lovelies! 💗
omg, i'm literally bursting with excitement to start this transformative series with you all! we're going to dive deep into actually studying like elle woods, and all her study methods. it's going to change your academic life. (while keeping you fabulous, obviously!)
let's start with the most crucial element - the elle woods mindset. you know how elle went from being underestimated at harvard to graduating with honors? that transformation began in her mind, and that's exactly where we're starting too!
the core principles of the elle woods mindset (get ready to take notes!):
unwavering self-belief: elle's iconic "what, like it's hard?" attitude wasn't just cute - it was crucial
authenticity as your superpower: your unique perspective is your strength
resilience through positivity: turning every "you can't" into "watch me"
strategic determination: working smarter, not just harder
maintaining your essence: success shouldn't mean losing yourself
let me break down how to actually build this mindset (because theory without practice is like a perfect outfit without accessories - incomplete!):
mindset foundation building: • start a daily confidence journal (pink, obviously!) • write three daily affirmations • document your wins, no matter how small • reflect on challenges and how you overcame them
goal setting the elle way: • dream big (harvard law big!) • break down major goals into mini-milestones • create realistic timelines • identify potential obstacles and plan solutions • celebrate every achievement (even the tiny ones!)
your personal success toolkit: • a dedicated study planner (color-coded, elle would approve) • positive affirmation cards • vision board (mix academic and personal goals) • progress tracking system • reward system for reaching milestones
practical assignments for this week:
yes, i'm giving you all homework, because what's a lesson without doing homework? <3
mindset makeover tasks: • create your confidence corner (a designated study space that makes you feel powerful) • write your personal academic manifesto • identify and challenge three limiting beliefs • create a morning power routine
organization prep: • get your study essentials (cute but functional!) • set up your planning system • create a semester overview • design your ideal weekly schedule
community building: • find your study buddies (your personal warner hunting club, but for academics!) • join study groups • set up accountability partnerships • create a support system
elle's journey wasn't about memorizing legal terms - it was about believing she belonged in those hallowed halls while wearing her signature pink. you deserve to feel that same confidence in your academic journey. <3
advanced tips for the overachievers (because why not be extra?):
record yourself giving pep talks for tough days
create a study aesthetic that energizes you
develop personal success rituals
build a playlist that makes you feel powerful
photograph your progress for motivation
coming up in this series:
time management secrets
memory techniques that actually work
note-taking methods that slay
exam preparation strategies
self-care routines for academic success
group study dynamics
presentation skills
stress management
celebration strategies
and more of course <3
remember: elle woods didn't just survive harvard - she thrived while being unapologetically herself. that's our goal too! you're not just going to study better; you're going to build an academic approach that celebrates who you are.
homework time (but make it fun):
create your academic vision board
write your semester goals
design your ideal study schedule
set up your success tracking system
prepare your study space
xoxo, mindy
p.s. don't forget to reblog and follow for the complete series! we're building our own little academic sorority here! <3

🌟 Creating Character Names: A Non-Basic Guide for Fantasy Writers 🌟
Listen up fellow writers! aggressively slides into your dashboard with chai in hand Let's talk about one of the most CHAOTIC yet FUN parts of writing - naming your precious book babies!
👀 First things first - throw out everything you know about "normal" naming conventions because honey, we're going WILD today!
Here's the tea: Your character's name is literally their FIRST impression on the page. It's their brand™️, their essence, their whole vibe condensed into a few syllables. And in fantasy? The rules? We don't know her.
🔮 Non-Basic Methods for Name Creation:
The Vibes-Based Approach
Close your eyes and picture your character
What color are they giving off?
What texture?
Now translate that into sounds
Example: A character who feels like liquid silver might be named Sylthra or Mercurine
2. The Meaning Mashup Method
Take 2-3 words that represent your character
Break them apart
Frankenstein them back together
Example: Brave (Fortis) + Storm (Tempest) = Fortempest
3. The Aesthetic Alchemy Instead of just picking random syllables, think about:
How does the name look on the page?
Does it have strong consonants or flowing vowels?
Would it look good written in blood on a magical contract? (IMPORTANT)
🌙 Pro Tips That Nobody Talks About:
Test Drive Your Names
Write them in different fonts
Yell them dramatically
Whisper them mysterously
If you can't dramatically whisper "Lord Xylophone the Terrible" without giggling, maybe reconsider
2. The Name Evolution Game Your character's name should have:
A formal version
A nickname
What their enemies call them
What their mom yells when they're in trouble Example: Theodora → Thea → The Midnight Witch → THEODORA BLACKTHORN GET DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT
3. Cultural Consideration (but make it fantasy)
Create naming patterns for different regions/species
Maybe elves use lots of 'ae' and 'th' sounds
Perhaps dragon-folk names always start with a hiss
Desert dwellers might have names that sound like wind through sand
🔥 Advanced Name-Crafting Techniques:
The Emotional Echo Method
Write down the key emotion of your character
Find its opposite
Create a name that somehow bridges both Example: A character who's both gentle and fierce → Lysander (means "liberator" but sounds soft)
The Musical Approach
Names have rhythm
They have melody
Try singing your character names
If it sounds like a spell, EVEN BETTER
💫 Remember:
Names can be weapons (looking at you, True Name magic systems)
They can be prophecies
They can be curses
They can be LIES
🚫 What to Avoid (but like, in a non-basic way):
Names that look like you headbutted your keyboard
Names so complex your readers need a pronunciation guide every 2 pages
Names that are just regular names with random 'y's thrown in (looking at you, Kathryn → Kathyryn → Kathyyryn)
✨ Final Thoughts: Your character's name is a spell you're casting on your readers. Make it memorable. Make it meaningful. Make it YOURS.
And remember, if all else fails, you can always name them after what they had for breakfast. (Looking at you, Toast the Dragonslayer 👀)
sips chai aggressively
That's all for today's chaotic naming advice! Drop a 🌟 if you're gonna rename all your characters now! - Rin T.
[Note: Feel free to reblog and add your own chaotic naming methods! Let's build this resource together!]

What study habits will help you this school year?
Reminder: it doesn't matter if you saw this reading a day or a week or a month or a year after posting this. My readings are timeless. You'll see this when you're meant to see this and receive your message.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath before picking a pile. If you feel drawn to more than one pile, it's alright, you may take the piles that you're drawn to. What's important is to take it how it resonates and leave what doesn't.
PAID READINGS | TIP JAR | FEEDBACK | MASTERLIST
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN
NOTE: Please feel free to give me a feedback on my asks about the reading! I would highly appreciate it and it'll be a huge help for me to improve as a reader.
Pile 1
The study habits that will help you this year are the ones that will keep you engaged in your lessons and courses/subjects. Something that keeps your mind active and keeps you interested in learning. Be curious about what you're learning. Take studying as something positive and don't take it as a responsibility. Have the mindset that you're privileged enough to study and learn these stuff. Be in a state of wanting to learn, not needing to learn. Also, leave your "failures" behind, such as low grades or not being able to get a perfect score on your exam. Instead, focus on what you lacked that caused that result.
Study techniques:
Make flash cards
Use white boards (the bigger, the better)
Act like a teacher, pretend that you're teaching
Similar to the previous one, you can also pretend that you're reporting the lesson in class
Make mind maps with only your knowledge and check what you missed after
Pile 2
I'm getting a lot of energy here from you, Pile 2. First of all, STOP CRAMMING. You might have survived the last school year by cramming but it won't help you anymore, especially this time. You need to study in advance especially when you know you have exams coming up. Stop studying the night before the day of the exam. Also, leave the past behind. Let go of your "friends" who distract you from studying and just want to go out to parties. Change your routine. Your previous routine could be a success for you but it drains you. Find some balance between studying and leisure.
Study techniques:
Study with your friends together
Put notes on your walls so you can look at them anytime and you'll learn them naturally
If you exercise and you happen to have a treadmill, put notes on the wall in front of you so you can read as you exercise (walking or jogging)
Similarly, you can record yourself reading your notes and listen to your record while jogging outside or exercising
Read your notes outloud
Pile 3
So here's the studious pile. I'm seeing that you tend to study hard, not study smart. And that's your mistake. You should study smart, not study hard. Stop memorizing and start understanding your lessons more. Stop rewriting your notes over and over until you reach your desired perfection of your notes, the "aesthetic" that you want. Instead, do your best to write well when you're taking notes in class. That way, you won't have to rewrite them at home. When reading your notes, it's best for you to use different colors of highlighters. Also when someone offers you some help in a lesson that you struggle with, accept it, even if you only struggle a little. Lastly, enjoy learning! Don't stress yourself too much about it and overthink you'll fail.
Study techniques:
Don't stay up all night to study and wake up early in the morning to review, especially to recall what you've already studied
Never ever cram and always finish the easiest tasks first
Drink coffee when studying (only if you don't have health issues or you weren't advised that you should avoid coffee)
Keep on rereading your notes and rewrite what you remember, then keep track of what you tend to forget
Make tests for yourself or look for tests online

math study techniques
i’m going to break down some of the most effective ways to study math. this subject definitely can feel overwhelming, but with the right strategies, you can build confidence and success.
this is how i got consistent As on my tests!

mistakes are valuable
go over your mistakes and learn from them – don't move on without fully understanding why something went wrong.
keep an error log – reviewing common errors helps you avoid them in the future.
ngl, sometimes i get disappointed when i don't make mistakes cuz then i don't have a reference point for studying 😭
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
use visual aids
in geometry or algebra, draw diagrams to visualize the problems.
i am a heavy visual learner so if I can, I will draw out every graph and shape.
here is a simple example of visual notes in math that i took a while ago
use graphing tools to understand functions or inequalities in a tangible way.
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
practice is key
math requires consistent practice – work through as many problems as you can, varying difficulty levels as you go.
don't rush – make sure you truly understand each problem before moving on.
time yourself during practice to build speed and accuracy for exams.
so important for testing! the tests i do best on i spend around 1-2 minutes per question, leaving me with almost an hour usually to review my work.
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
use online resources
platforms like Khan Academy or other math-focused sites can be super helpful for understanding difficult concepts.
personally i use resources like ChatGPT to give me extra problems that i can do before an exam
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
understand, don't memorize
break down formulas – know why and how formulas work to better apply them in different contexts.
if you're in more advanced math, try 'rediscovering' the formula
concepts over shortcuts – shortcuts can help, but deeper understanding will ensure long-term success.
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
ask for help when needed
study groups or tutors can provide new perspectives on tough problems.
don’t hesitate to ask your teacher for help if you’re stuck
trust me, teachers love questions. my teacher practically begs for them so don't be too afraid. spam office hours if you need to.
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · .༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌
thank you for taking the time to read this. if you have any topics that you want me to cover, let me know!!

,, Demon made man"
CoD x f! "Violent" reader
Featured characters:
König
Krueger
Horangi
141 as a collective
Note: this is very self indulgent, I only really made this because I am sick and tired of all those x reader hc where you are being walked all over by these men.
So to counteract this i bring you hc for a reader that is just a violent, selfish bastard who has no problem hurting her team-mates if it means finishing a mission.
TW: violence, sadism, bullet wounds, meanies :(, just be prepared for some nasty shit
If you like this kinda stuff let me know, i'd love to go in-deph in a possible part 2.
◇◇◇◇◇
König
At first, he didn't spare you a second glance, hell not even a first one. Just another part of an everchanging team no more no less
However, he noticed quickly that you had a problem with authority, his to be precise.
You blew him off at every given chance. Butting into his commands, going off on your own to solve the problem at hand and then take all the glory
It also didn't help that you behaved similar like his old bullies. He though about just shooting you if you weren't so god damn slippery
One of his most memorable memories were is a small russian town where you kidnapped a hostage you needed information out of
The interrogation was left to you, he was planning on you being the good cop and him the bad one
However, that quickly de-railed when you started to peel the victims skin off. Eating up every cry of pain with a sick grin
Since then, every time you are paired with him his pulse skyrockets
Sebastian Krueger
Similar to his Austrian collegue, he didn't notice you at first, maybe he'd scoff at having to drag a girl around as another weight on his boot but nothing more
But his tune changed abruptly when you two were on a solo-mission
It began on the helio to the drop-off zone. He had been cleaning one of his knives when you made fun of his technique.
Later when you entered the town, the order was to retrieve a suitcase filled to the brim with important info on the ultranationalists
It was never officially stated but you both knew that whoever secured the case would get all the glory, so you two were butting heads all the way there.
It all came to a head when you were just one room removed from the case. He had shoved you back, intending to take it himself, when all of the sudden...
You shot him, right in the back of his knee downing him. Sauntering over in the most casual way, like one would take a stroll through the neighborhood.
Oh he saw red but couldn't do much of the account of a bullet wound in his leg.
After the mission was over he was waiting to smother you in your sleep, unlucky for him you got the praise of the higher-ups and a month vacation for yourself.
The next time you saw eachother was in passing but by then he couldn't have done anything no matter how much he wanted to.
Horangi
For some more positive vibes, you got along quite good actually.
You two hit it off, albeit a bit klunky since your voices were drowned out by the loud-ass helio
Your missions together were embossed by good teamwork and a quick completion
Even then, Horangi noticed you were off, after peticularly bloody missions you were unusually chipper and in high spirits like a child who got gifted a candybar
But one assignment really cemented his suspicions.
It was in a chinese mafia den. The entire mission was already going to shit from the get go, you, Horangi and one other soldier were hiding behind a crate, surrounded by lower goons
When all of the sudden you grabbed the soldier and brutally used him as a meat-shield to advance to the offenders.
Ever since then he decided to never stand within arms reach of you. Ever.
141 Extra
You only went out with the taskforce once before their captain refused to work with you anymore.
At first the boys were quite welcoming, bit hesitant, but welcoming nontheless.
Seargent Soap and Gaz were very chatty with you, ingaging in endearing small talk.
L.T. Ghost was pretty stand-offish but that was to be expected by his reputation.
It all went south quickly after you were rounding up cartel members, shooting them down after you were given the order to leave no one alive
At the end, you encountered the son on the leader, a teenage boy maybe 15 or 16.
The 141 was debating what to do with him since they couln't eliminate a child. You however saw the foreboding danger.
The assassination of his family would undoubtedly lead to revenge, something that will be dangerous.
So, without hesitating, you killed him. A bullet point-blank to the skull.
The aftermath was ugly, first stunned silence then outrage. Soap was on you first, going on and on about ethics, Gaz quickly joining.
After much verbal berating and a lack of guilt from you cemented their disdain.
Since then, they avoid you like the plague.
_________________________________________
So, I hope you enjoyed that. Like I said it's kinda violent but I feel like that is what this fandom needs. If you are curious the reader is based off an OC if you want to know more about her or want her to be the focus of a part 2 let me know.
Let me know your opinions, good or bad in general. Construcive critisism is also very welcome.
Anyways, thank you for reading

The next textbook author who writes a proof longer than 3 nontrivial sentences and does not sketch the structure of the proof in advance, I'll fucking strangle.
You are not here to discharge your obligations to a proof checker! You are here to impart the ability to generate this bullshit! Separate your proof steps! Name techniques you used to produce these and intuitions that let you guess they'd be helpful! Learn how to write a memorable narrative, you fuckhead!

hi there! im a fan of your page 💕
can you give me the best studying techniques?
hi angel!! @mythicalmarion tysm for asking about study techniques 🤍 i'm so excited to share my secret methods that helped me maintain perfect grades while still having a dreamy lifestyle + time for self-care!! and thank you for being a fan of my blog, it means everything to me. <3
~ ♡ my non-basic study secrets that actually work ♡ ~

(don't mind the number formatting)
the neural bridging technique this is literally my favorite discovery!! instead of traditional note-taking, i create what i call "neural bridges" between different subjects. for example, when studying both literature + history, i connect historical events with the literature written during that time. i use a special notebook divided into sections where each page has two columns - one for each subject. the connections help you understand both subjects deeper + create stronger memory patterns!!
here's how i do it:
example:
left column: historical event
right column: literary connection
middle: draw connecting lines + add small insights
bottom: write how they influenced each other
the shadow expert method this changed everything for me!! i pretend i'm going to be interviewed as an expert on the topic i'm studying. i create potential interview questions + prepare detailed answers. but here's the twist - i record myself answering these questions in three different ways:
basic explanation (like i'm talking to a friend)
detailed analysis (like i'm teaching a class)
complex discussion (like i'm at a conference)
this forces you to understand the topic from multiple angles + helps you explain concepts in different ways!!
the reverse engineering study system instead of starting with the basics, i begin with the most complex example i can find and work backwards to understand the fundamentals. for example, in calculus, i start with a complicated equation + break it down into smaller parts until i reach the basic concepts.
my process looks like:
find the hardest example in the textbook
list every concept needed to understand it
create a concept map working backwards
study each component separately
rebuild the complex example step by step
the sensory anchoring technique this is seriously game-changing!! i associate different types of information with specific sensory experiences:
theoretical concepts - study while standing
factual information - sitting at my desk
problem-solving - walking slowly
memorization - gentle swaying
review - lying down
your body literally creates muscle memory associated with different types of learning!!
the metacognition mapping strategy i created this method where i track my understanding using what i call "clarity scores":
level 1: can recognize it
level 2: can explain it simply
level 3: can teach it
level 4: can apply it to new situations
level 5: can connect it to other topics
i keep a spreadsheet tracking my clarity levels for each topic + focus my study time on moving everything to level 5!!
the information architecture method instead of linear notes, i create what i call "knowledge buildings":
foundation: basic principles
first floor: key concepts
second floor: applications
top floor: advanced ideas
roof: real-world connections
each "floor" must be solid before moving up + i review from top to bottom weekly!!
the cognitive stamina training this is my absolute secret weapon!! i use a special interval system based on brain wave patterns:
32 minutes of focused study
8 minutes of active recall
16 minutes of teaching the material to my plushies
4 minutes of complete rest
the specific timing helps maintain peak mental performance + prevents study fatigue!!
the synthesis spiral evolution this method literally transformed how i retain information:
create main concept spirals
add branch spirals for subtopics
connect related concepts with colored lines
review by tracing the spiral paths
add new connections each study session
your notes evolve into a beautiful web of knowledge that grows with your understanding!!
these methods might seem different from typical study advice, but they're based on how our brains actually process + store information!! i developed these through lots of research + personal experimentation, and they've helped me maintain perfect grades while still having time for self-care, hobbies + fun!!
sending you the biggest hug + all my good study vibes!! remember that effective studying is about working with your brain, not against it <3
p.s. if you try any of these methods, please let me know how they work for you!! i love hearing about your study journeys!!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

What do you think is the best way for people with attention problems to memorize things is? Struggling rn
i list a ton of learning techniques in this ask! my biggest advice is to frame your study sessions around focus. for example, early into my uni career i was studying full-time and also a part-time chemistry ta. i would go home and then start studying, literally after 12 hours of being on campus and juggling friends / lab research / classes / orgs / tutoring. obviously that meant i was tired as fuck and my focus was in the ground. as i gained academic maturity i kind of switched it up--instead of studying after getting home, i study when i'm most focused. i'm at my most focused from 4 am to 12 pm (huge morning person), so i frequently wake up at that time and just grind for hours.
apply that concept to you. when are you at peak focus? is it late at night (11 pm - 3 am), is it early in the morning (4 am - 8 am), or is it later? when are you most energized? when is there the least amount of disruptions? that's when i'd pencil the study blocks in. studying super early has been magic for me bc most people are asleep at that time (no distractions), my circadian rhythm loves the early morning hours, and having hours of studying in already when it's not even 10 am yet just starts off my day right. that's why i avoid being on my phone in the mornings--that's when i'm at peak focus.
as for the attention deficit itself--for that i break a huge task into tiny, minuscule, unintimidating subtasks. if you're studying a chapter, tell yourself that for the next 30 minutes you will read two paragraphs. then take a break. then spend the next 30 minutes reading the 2 paragraphs after that (or whatever amount of information that wouldn't overwhelm you). rinse and repeat, and before you know it you will have finished the chapter. you don't need to be reading it in one fell swoop. progress still counts as progress so long as you're advancing, however small the increments are. and that's actually also effective bc it allows you to really hone in on the details one bit of information at a time, rather than skimming a whole chapter and not absorbing much.

Study Tips
Hi and happy Friday the 13th! It’s Serena here with some studying tips. We’ll get into the different methods I like to use, helpful hacks for a better study environment, and the apps that help me reach my study goals. Currently, I’m taking Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Functions and English <33
𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆉 𓆝 𓆡⋆.˚ 𓇼
Methods
Active recall is (in my opinion) the most useful study method where you recite the information without looking at your notes or textbooks. Instead of passively reviewing material, you test yourself on key concepts, questions, or facts. This process helps me identify my weak and strong areas in what I’m studying. This technique is best for memory-based subjects like biology, history and other social sciences, but can be used in whatever way you prefer!
Flashcards are another super great study method, especially when it comes to memorizing diagrams and quick definitions. I love using flashcards and quizzing myself with my friends which makes studying a little bit more entertaining for us!
Teaching the content, which is a bit similar to active recall, is another personal favorite of mine because this technique ensures you understand the material and know how and why something happens. Explaining the content to someone else helps you break the material down into more manageable chunks of information, making it easier to remember and not so intimidating.
𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆉 𓆝 𓆡⋆.˚ 𓇼
Helpful Tips
Listening to music while studying is fine, but it’s better to use music without lyrics (unless your volume is very low). For me especially, I lose my focus because of the words and my studying isn’t as efficient as it should be.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE invest in a whiteboard!!! They're so amazing and they honestly make me want to study because they’re so fun to use. I recommend one of the bigger ones (so you can write out more information) and remember to use different colors so the information can really stick (and just because it looks better)
𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆉 𓆝 𓆡⋆.˚ 𓇼
Useful Apps
Flora is one of my favorite apps right now that keeps me off of my phone when I’m doing homework and studying. It’s actually super motivating because if you go onto another app, you ‘kill a tree’ (which is very rude in my opinion). It’s even better when you study with your friends on the app, and compete to see who can get the most hours of studying done.
Notion is an app that has many uses, but in this context you can use it to track your assignments and upcoming evaluations! You can then use the app to plan the dates and times that you’ll study each subject to ensure you’re prepared for everything.
𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆉 𓆝 𓆡⋆.˚ 𓇼
I really hope these tips help you on your studying journey, and that you can make the most of this school year! <33

Yeets more guys at you
Other characters:
Julius Vallen IV:
Rules from Reston
Obsessed with scientific advancements
Valra advanced very quickly in the sciences during the previous emperor’s reign
Julius IV wants to maintain that advancement
Spends most of his time with inventions and gadgets to the detriment of politics
Has a basement in Reston dedicated to all sorts of machines
Not politically savvy
Spends most of his time on machines/chemistry/birdwatching/horticulture
Basically anything that has to do with science
The most politically savvy thing he did was turn his own daughter into a spy
Not incompetent, just doesn’t understand court life
His wife does most of the politicking but she doesn’t have enough influence to keep the lords down
Female counterparts to rulers aren’t taken seriously
Reason why Calix pretends to be male
Previous female rulers did the same thing, e.g. Calix’s great-grandmother, Emperor Maven II (Oleander Vallen)
Actually a decent dude
Listens to the complaints of the common people and tries to help
Unfortunately, he doesn’t always consider the consequences of these decisions
Often ends up angering the minor lords
Loves his wife a lot too, he understands that he makes a lot of trouble for her
Taught Calix science and the arts
“She is excellent in her studies of the natural world. A naturally inquisitive mind, that one. Unfortunately, her painting skills are abysmal. I’ve tried so hard, but no matter who I hire to tutor her in art, her paintings are horrifying.”
Nova Vallen
Queen of Valra
The one who deals with all the politics behind the scenes
Unfortunately, the noblemen don’t take her seriously so she has to use Julius to enact policies
The spy network is run by her
She has memorized every secret passage in Reston and which spy uses which entrance
One of the towers in Reston has been converted into her briefing room, she has a special room just for Calix to change identities to prevent the nobles from discovering her
Excellent at politics, terrible at arts, also prefers sword fighting to dancing
Taught Calix her own personal technique
“She’s better than me now…I’m a bit sad about that, but I’m quite proud of how far she’s come.”
“I’m afraid she takes after me in the arts…she’s tone-deaf and her sketches are ghastly. Altair seems to have taken all her abilities in both the ballroom and the studio.”
Taught Calix history, politics
“I love Julius, but he…doesn’t know how to rule properly. I can’t afford to let Calix end up the same way.”
Terrified of heights
Doesn’t understand why Calix likes them
At first objected to having a tower converted to a briefing room but the basement was too cluttered with all the machines
Made sure that all the windows were covered so that she couldn’t look out them
Seems strict, but loves her family deeply, treats Altair like her own child as well
Understands Julius’s flaws, had to come to terms with them since she didn’t originally choose this life
Frustrated with him during the first years of courtship, held off marriage until she saw his earnestness in trying to improve his deficiencies
King Truscan’s older sister, married to Julius to cement an alliance with Tol
Truscan Pallade III
Current king of Tol
Constantly having to deal with the bandits coming into his lands
Does his best to be sympathetic to their situation
Whenever he captures an invader, he sends them to the fortress of Borraine to try to integrate them into Tollan society
“I’d say about 25% of our people originally came from the Bandit Lands. Many are malnourished and desperate. When given the opportunity, most of them are willing to become citizens of our kingdom in exchange for good food and a place to live.”
Younger brother of Nova Vallen
In an alliance with Valra
The lords keep sending armies to Tol
“I wish they’d stop. My armies are already depleted, what with all the bandits from the west. My poor sons have run themselves ragged trying to fight and negotiate with the invaders from the east. It’s a miracle they haven’t collapsed from exhaustion.”
Nova keeps trying to stop the invaders from Valra but some slip through the Valran military
Dorian Farlow
Earl of Rothe
One of the rebelling nobles
Hired an assassin to kill Calix
Is completely unaware that Lovena IS Calix
Dotes on Lovena
Constantly buying her sweets
“She’s my only daughter. Ithillia wished desperately for a child, but she could never conceive. She and I adore Lovena.”
Lovena is a bit spoiled as a result
Has built quite a few houses for all of Lovena’s animal friends
“She has 3 dogs, 1 horse, several rabbits, 2 coops of chickens… ” (cut for length)
Constantly getting into skirmishes with Selvo Valas
“That…miscreant…keeps trying to take my lands. He’s even taken to trying to woo my dear daughter to gain leverage over me. Just my luck that our homes are so close to each other.”
when will u make a full graphic novel and let me read this
🥹
I’m already keeping notes on people ehehehehehehe

Hi, your pictures are absolutely stunning! I love the plasticity and colors of your work🫶🍒💖
Where did you learn to paint? How long have you been doing it?
I have been drawing since I was a toddler, it was always my favorite thing to do and I was always hyper-fixated on it. That phase never left me growing up, so I was always enthusiastic about learning and getting better because if I was drawing in any capacity I was happy.
I study a lot of different artists I admire. I think the key to improving is intertwining studying real life, and art you find personally pleasing.
I am not a massive art nerd who I memorizes artists names, but I do make an effort to remember some who personally inspired me with their art style and vision ( keep in mind I am only referring to their art and when referencing them as inspiration I purely mean it in the technical art sense )
Alberto Mielgo
Alessandro Barbucci
Shiyoon Kim
Ami Thompson
Ethan Becker (don't come at me, his techniques and thought process simplified a lot for me when other YouTube art creators were confusing me and took too long to explain therefore losing me in the process + his art, shape design, mood, color and simplicity are all very appealing to me.)
Jamie Hewlett
Io Sakisaka
a whole bunch of Twitter artists that are younger than me so I am actually ashamed to name them cause why is this 15-year-old actually slaying my whole existence and I'm caught studying their shape design.
Now to address how I learn and advance my skills.
I don't know.
Actually, I kind of do and don't at the same time. I really am more of an impulsive, intuitive type, where I really do what I feel like and I sometimes get more adventurous while doing a piece or even doing a sketch, so I kind of think: What if I do this... But I don't know how to do that. And that's how I start researching and looking up how other people do it or I straight up just start guessing. Learning new things for me doesn't come from a place of "I am not good enough and I better study this or else no one will respect me" Learning new things for me comes from a place of looking at what I am doing and being like "omg wouldn't it be sick if I knew how to do this so I can do that on top of my sketch??" or "I wanna sketch this scene but wouldn't be cool If I drew it from an extreme perspective?"
Being enthusiastic and excited is the key, learn because you are excited to and study to add to your vision, not to compare yourself or try to reach a standard when the standard is constantly changing and literally the only people you're seeing as the standard are the people who do not care about it and love themselves and are excited to draw, that's why they make it look so easy.
